Komplementäre und Alternative Medizin. Die Wichtigkeit klarer Begriffe und eindeutiger Positionen
A lack of resistance from the science-oriented medical community against the self-defined claims of what is known as alternative medicine mean that allegedly gentler alternatives find broad acceptance in the population. Clear definitions and unequivocal positions are needed. All the various terms usually used to describe and delineatethese methods fail to represent the real state of affairs. They are intentionally chosen constructions which deliberately draw borders in the wrong places. The crucial contrast between scientific medicine and alternative medicine lies in the fact that only the former is, at least in principle, open to falsifying experiments and that its representatives accept the results of these experiments.
