The will to treat ones body to meet pragmatic concerns is forgetful of the fact that humans are a physico-mental unit. It takes a technomorphic attitude towards the body, not regarding it as the essential medium of our openness for the world but treating it as a tool. Such a will implies a dualist anthropology, and it breaks with the insight that self-acceptance is the prerequisite for a sensible care about the body.
