Die Kraft der Normalisierung - Ein evangelisch-theologischer Beitrag zur Regelung der ärztlichen Suizidassistenz
The article provides a protestant-theological perspective on the question to what extent physician-assisted suicide should be part of the medical ethos. In a first step the general prerequisites of protestant ethics will be disclosed and the current empirical evidence of the social opinion patterns regarding the dealing with the options at the end of life discussed. Building on the unfolding of Christian freedom as a responsive-communicative one, the consequences of the present debate on physician-assisted suicide will be explored in a second step.
